    Finding Peace

    How do you find peace in a chaotic world?

    One thing I do is escape to Sedona. There’s something about hitting the trails and frolicking around in the red rocks.

    With the tension and excitement of finalizing edits, covers and all that comes with releasing three books in a month, being away from reality helps me focus.

    And the beauty found here helps my creativity as well. Check out these pics.

    Thanks to everyone sharing our cover reveal of Book One of the Twin River High series. The first three books come out in May! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the series.

    Much love, ~Lynn ❤️

  • Inspire Me…

    If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you often see me posting quotes. I love surfing the net to find these things. It makes me feel like others have been through things that prompted them to say these inspiring things–that we’re living life together.

    Here are a few I’ve found recently mixed in with a couple oldies but goodies.

    “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reapbut by the seeds you plant”- Robert Louis Stevenson.

    “Iskate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.”- Wayne Gretzky.

    “Life is either adaring adventureor nothing.” – Helen Keller

    And then there is my favorite one about writing:

    “If I don’t write to empty my mind, I go mad.” —Lord Byron

    I’d love see some of your favorite inspirational quotes!

  • Happy Mother’s Day

    I’m not a mom, so I can’t relate to thatpart of mother’s day. But many of my friends are, so I can appreciate all the hard work and dedication they put into being moms.

    So, I hope you all have a super Mother’s Day. Thank you for what you do!

    ~~~~~
    And to Lynn, my sweet mother-in-law.
    This is the first time I won’t be able to call you to wish you Happy Mother’s Day. To tell you what a wonderful job you did raising your boy. He treats me so well. Treasures me above all. And YOU taught him that.
    I miss you so much.
    With all the buzz and excitement about my latest releases, book signings coming up, and all that stuff, I wish you were here by my side. But I can hear you in my heart saying, “Love you, honey.”
    I loved hearing you call me honey.
    But you know what? Your name is on EVERY book!! Not only in the dedication, but on the front cover. I’m so proud to be your namesake.
    Happy Mother’s Day, Mom II.
  • It’s a WRAP
    Well, I survived.
    Thanks, Rachel, for hanging out at the blog yesterday. She’s wicked awesome at running. . . well, and biking and swimming, too. My two hour and two minute finish is laughable compared to her half-marathon time, but I’m okay with that.
    I’m just glad I finished.
    AND, I had a super time with my BFF, Michele.
    Here are a few pictures. Enjoy, because I’m hobbling around all stiff and sore today. But it was worth it!
    Having fun at the EXPO
    Charlie and Lynn ran with me
    He was sad he couldn't come. He's my running buddy
    Me and Michele at the start
    Me about half way....
    Me and Michele and our finisher medals
    DQ was our prize
    Have a super Monday. Do most of you have the day off because of MLK Day?
  • The New Year Approaches…
    Can you believe Christmas is only a week away?
    I’m still getting used to the idea that it’s DECEMBER 2011 already. Soon we’ll be ushering in a new year.
    Are you ready?
    Are you one to make a list of goals?
    I’m usually not, but I have a few things in mind I hope to see happen in 2012. One thing I learned in 2011 is that you can plan, but you never know what life will throw in your face. Thankfully I have a rock-solid faith, rock-solid hubby, and rock-solid friends/family!
