I thought I commented already, but I think all the blogs are blurring together! LOL

Christmas Vacation is still my favorite, but I do love Elf too!!! 🙂

Thanks for arranging the fun blog hop Lynn!!!

    Lisa 🙂

I love Elf. So cute! I have two favorite Christmas movies: A Christmas Story and Polar Express. I adore both! Thanks for sharing! Wish you a Merry Christmas!

    Merry Christmas, Lynn.

I’d have to say, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is my all time favorite.

(sorry I’m late, just saw Rachel’s blog)

I was surprised how much I loved Elf, as I am not a fan of Will Ferrell’s humor. My favorite movie is It’s a Wonderful Life as well as the old Christmas specials: Rudolph the Red Nosed Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, etc.

I don’t really like Will Ferrell but in this movie was amazing. My favorite Christmas movie is Love Actually.
Thank you for the great giveaway and Merry Christmas.

  • Misha

My favorite Christmas movie would probably be the Ben Kingsley version of A Christmas Carol, although it might just be because I love the book so much.

    🙂

  • Sharon Hamilton

I have to say Love Actually. How I found my hero, the actor Rodrigo Santoro, in my first book. I have the 3 minute scene when he removes his clothes with Laura Linney on super slow mo, so it stretches out to 20 minutes. Honest.

I love the idea of falling in love at Christmas.

My favorite holiday movie would probably be The Santa Clause (with Tim Allen). My niece (almost 17) was crazy for these movies and I lost track the the number of times we watched them. I would always buy her the DVDs when a new one was released. She is still crazy for Christmas movies, often watching them whenever the mood strikes, even in the middle of summer.

Hope you have a safe & happy holiday season!

  • tammy ramey

i liked Elf too, i thought the Santa is coming scene was one of the funniest.
at our house we are pretty traditional, we watch the movies with my nieces and nephews that i watched we i was little. they were things like the animated How The
Grinch Stole Christmas,Santa Clause is Coming To Towne,Frosty The Snowman and of course we watch It’s A Wonderful Life. 🙂
I hope you and your family have a very Happy Holiday Season.

I like Elf & it’s one movie I do drag out to watch sometime over the holidays, but the one I can’t miss is Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby & Fred Astaire.

Elf is an awesome movie! Those are my two favorite scenes, and I really like the scene with the raccoon too! My favorite Christmas movie has to be the ORIGINAL Charlie Brown Christmas special 🙂 (that counts right? lol)

  • Michelle Harlan

I love Christmas movies~but if we’re talking comedy than it has to be National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation. I die laughing every time Clark starts ranting! Especially during the “hap, hap, happiest Christmas” spiel! So darn funny!

  • StacieD

I love ELF, Scrooged. Love Actually and Mickey’s Christmas Carol. It isn’t Christmas until I’ve seen all the films.

  • Kimberly Flood

Do I have to pick JUST one? Ok! Hmmm…..*tapping foot*……A Christmas Carol is one of my favorites but I don’t watch it every year…..the same with Christmas Vacation although Chevy Chase does a great job with that part! Those would have to be my favorite!

  • Lisa Kessler

    OMG I love Elf!!!

My kids this year took turns answering our phone “This is Panda, what’s your favorite color?” LOL

My favorite Christmas movie is still Christmas Vacation though… Love that one! 🙂

    Lisa

  • Linda Henderson

Well it depends on my mood. If I’m in the mood to laugh, Christmas Vacation. If I’m in a serious mood White Christmas. I love that old movie. And Holiday Inn isn’t bad either.

Wow this is a hard one, because I have so many favorites. Christmas movies in general are my favorite movies. But I guess if I had to narrow it down to one, I would have to say that it would be I think it is called “The Christmas Shoes” any way it is about this couple and there little boy. Well the mother loves to dance, and she tells her little boy that she will soon be dancing in heaven. She is dying of cancer. The boy see’s these red shiny shoes in a store and goes out to find odd jobs to buy them for his mother for Christmas so she will have them to dance in heaven. Well the mother gets closer and closer to dying and the boy finally on Christmas Eve goes to the store to buy the shoes and is $5 short, well the man behind him tells the clerk to add it to his purchase. And he runs all the way home so that he can give his mother those shoes. Of course his mother loves them and ask him to put them on her. And then they hear Christmas Carolers out front and go to the window, and while listening to them the father turns around to find that she was gone. Well there is so much more to it, but it is a very touching story.

    • Lynn Rush

Ohhhhh. I’ve heard of this one. Awesome story!!!! This is my first Christmas without my MIL here. She died in October from cancer. So she’s dancing with God in heaven right now. Thanks for reminding me of this show!!!!! 🙂

  • Sara Rodesch

LOL… everyone picked mine! I love the grinch. I had a stuffed grinch up until last year, when I sold him to help narrow down my son’s ever growing stuffed animal collection. I do have to admit the Charlie Brown Christmas special is a classic with Snoopy Dancing on the piano and the ending! Everyone has to love Snoopy!! 😉

    Happy Holidays Lynn!

Hi, Yadira. 🙂 Musicals during Christmas time are fun. I’m usually not a fan of them, but there’s just something about them this time of year. 🙂

    • Lynn Rush

Barbara…Mixed Nuts. Boy, I’ve not heard of that, but I’ll have to track it down!!! 🙂 Merry Christmas!

    • Lynn Rush

That’s okay, Lindsay. Date away! LOL!! I love listening to Bing Crosby sing the Christmas songs! 🙂 Merry Christmas, my friend!!!

  • Sebrina

Each year, the kids and I watch Home Alone. The first time I said we were going to watch it they both groaned, literally. They laughed so hard during that movie! And screamed along with the actor when the spider got put on his face! I loved it. Then they watch Christmas Vacation (Chevy Chase) with their dad, and laugh just as hard. That’s the movie my in-laws watched as hubby grew up; sort of kept that little tradition going. My kids seem to like the more grown up humorous movies, rather than the ones for kids………and ELF, yeah, my son dies laughing, along with his father, during that movie! I laugh more at them than I do the actual movie….thanks for the chance at prizes during the hop… 🙂

    • Lynn Rush

Hi, Sebrina! 🙂 Yeah, ELF is super funny, and when someone else starts laughing at it, it makes me laugh too! Love that!!!! Thanks for participating in the blog hop!!!!

  • jennifer mathis

I have to watch Christmas Vacation and The Grinch ( movie 0 every year it gets me in the christmas mood and of course we watch all the cartoons they show .

  • Nat Cleary

I have to say Ive never saw Elf so must check it out. I tend to watch a lot of kiddies Christmas Movies because I have 4 boys under 10. I love The Polar Express and The Muppets Movies but my all time favorite is A Christmas Carol.

  • sandy smith

I’m showing my age with this one, but I’m on the old version of A Christmas Carol couch, with Tess (and I hope she’s got popcorn) !

  • Deb Vander Weide

Thanks for posting the Elf clips,I think I have watched it once and it was so funny, will have to watch that again. But the one I have been watching for quite a few years is The Christmas Story.

    • Lynn Rush

Boy. I think The Christmas Story is up there on everyone’s favorite. 🙂 🙂 Thanks for swinging by, Deb!

  • Danica Avet

I’m conventional when it comes to Christmas movies. A Christmas Story has been and always will be my favorite movie for this time of year. It’s spectacularly funny with some of the best lines ever.

I actually had to force myself not to use the line “looks like a pink nightmare” in one of my WIPs, LOL

    • Lynn Rush

Danica…You’re right. They do have the best lines ever. Very creative writing on that movie for sure!!!! 🙂

      LOL. Pink Nightmare. That’s funny!

  • Missy

OMG!! I had to hear, “Did you hear that?” forever after my kids first saw that movie. And yes, we had all the sound effects from 4 of them going on.

My all time favorite holiday movie is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I’ve seen it so many times, but still crack up everytime I watch it!

    • Lynn Rush

Christmas Vacation. Now that’s a classic, right? Nice choice. Dial-up…did you say dial-up??? LOL Hang in there. 🙂

  • Erin Danzer

I don’t really have a favorite Holiday movie, but I always make sure to catch the Charlie Brown Christmas special. This year I also enjoyed the Madagascar special on Thanksgiving and even managed to see Shrek the Halls. Growing up, my parents watched all of the holiday specials on TV with my brother and I so I’m excited to do the same with my boys. 🙂

Off to check out everyone else in today’s hop.

    • Lynn Rush

The Christmas Story. Is that the one with Ralphie and the gun thing? LOL!!! I’m not a fan of that movie, BUT, I have to give them credit for being so creative. It’s funny that way.

  • Theresa

I have to say Elf is my favorite xmas movie, hands down! I laugh so hard that I cry every time I watch it. 🙂
