FRIDAY FUNNIES

Friday Funnies is a chance to share your wild and crazy stories. Whether it’s a personal story or just something that strikes you as funny. Let’s laugh and have some fun, but keep it clean, cuz I’m a watchin’ **wink wink**

laughing1The Christian Barber

There was a barber that thought that he should share his faith with his customers more than he had been doing lately.

So the next morning when the sun came up and the barber got up out of bed he said,

“Today I am going to witness to the first man that walks through my door.”

Soon after he opened his shop the first man came in and said, “I want a shave!” The barber said,

“Sure, just sit in the seat and I’ll be with you in a moment.” The barber went in the back and prayed a
quick desperate prayer saying, “God, the first customer came in and I’m going to witness to him.

So give me the wisdom to know just the right thing to say to him. Amen.”

Then quickly the barber came out with his razor knife in one hand and a Bible in the other while saying

“Good morning sir. I have a question for you… Are you ready to die?”

    Hi Lynn,

Never heard that story, and it’s a great one! It’s funny, but an apt warning too: maybe best to let the Spirit lead into witnessing, and not just blindly “decide” to do it. 😉

We need more of these lighthearted sharings in these times, I think. Thanks so much for the great post!

    God bless you.

When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised, the Lord doesn’t work that way. So I just stole one and asked Him to forgive me. (Emo Phillips)

    Ha! That is funny!

We were on a short mission trip (Urban Plunge) last spring and our “guide” from Christ for the City, Intl. stayed in the dorms with our group. She is a young girl and was just getting started with CFCI so it was a new experience for her.

One night, very late – when most dumb decisions are made – my friend and I decided that we were going to hide in her closet while she was showering (we stayed in an old college dorm – two beds in a room and two closets, one on each side) and then scare her.

We had plenty of time so while we were in her room, we decided to pack up all her things and hide them. Even took all her bedding off and hid it. We were thinking that she’d walk in the room and think she was in the wrong one because nothing would be there.

Anyway, she came back and the room and just looked around; we had the closet doors (one of us in each closet) cracked open far enougth to see her. Then she turned and open the closet that my friend was in.

My said said “boo.” I wish I could explain her expression and reaction.

Needless to say, she was a very good sport and laughed with us.
