FRIDAY FUNNIES

Friday Funnies is a chance to share your wild and crazy stories. Whether it’s a personal story or just something that strikes you as funny.
Let’s laugh and have some fun, but keep it clean, cuz I’m a watchin’ **wink wink**

The Service

One Sunday morning, the pastor noticed little Alex was staring up at the large plaque that hung in the foyer of the church.

It was covered with names, and small American flags were mounted on either side of it.

The seven-year-old had been staring at th e plaque for some time, so the pastor walked up, stood beside the boy, and said quietly, “Good morning, Alex.”

“Good morning,” replied the young man, still focused on the plaque.

“What is this?” Alex asked.

“Well, son, it’s a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service.”

Soberly, they stood together, staring at the large plaque.

Little Alex’s voice was trembling and barely audible when he asked, “Which service, the 9:45 or the 11:15?”

So, what’s made you laugh this week?

Have a great weekend everyone:-)

  1. Ha! I love funny kid-sayings.

Here’s one of my faves from school, “When I was born I almost died because my vocal cords were wrapped around my neck.”

I said, “That’s one set of pipes you got there!”

  2. That’s cute!
My funniest things are usually things my oldest son says. One time, when my husband hadn’t shaved, he said, “Daddy, can you get all that black hair off your face? I want you to look nice.”
Another time, we were at a garage sale and my oldest said to his brother, “Come buy some junk at the garage sale.” His brother didn’t come, so he said, “No, no, no, come buy some junk first. Here is some junk. Find something you like.”
And a classic (as well as a darn good question, I might add) was the time he asked me “How come Superman has underwear and a belt? How can he take it off?”
So I told him, “He doesn’t take it off. He wears it all the time.”
So he asked, “And he doesn’t go potty?”

I respond to comments, so leave me a note....
