Well, here’s to another Monday morning. I hope the weekend was as good to you all as it was to me. Lots of writing/biking/resting took place on each of the 110+ degree days here in the desert! **whew**
I finished my short story “Guardian” that’s getting entered in the First Line contest. So, it’s out for edits and hopefully can turn into a successful short story. My First. How exciting is that?!
Ok, so, my Mom, who lives in Minnesota, went on a trip to a lake, and my little niece met up with her to fish. Yes, I know, it’s a shocker, fishing on one of the 10,000 lakes in MN, strange. **LOL**
Anyway, since I live so far away, I keep up with with the family (aka the FAM) with pictures, so I had to share this one with you. It’s so cute.
I mean, how cute is she? Oh, yeah, that’s my mom with her. This picture takes me back to when I was that age and my Gramps took me fishing. I was so excited at catching my first fish, I stood up in the boat. All I remember is hearing, “Sheri, sit down! You’ll tip us over.” Gramps has been gone since May of 1989, but I can still hear that exclamation and see his face so clearly in my mind.
Well, I hope everyone has a fantastic day and may God bless it richly!
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
