MUSICAL MONDAY

Besides having a fantastic voice, her lyrics really caught my attention. The characters about whom I write are imperfect, even after they find Christ and true love…so, when Francesca’s song found it’s way onto my i-pod, the following lyrics made me put the song on repeat a few times:
“I got a couple dents in my fender. Got a couple rips in my jeans. Try to put the pieces together but perfection is my enemy, And on my own I’m so clumsy, But on Your shoulders I can see, I’m free to be me.”
I’ve got a few dents and rips, that’s for sure, but God sure does still love me, huh? On HIS shoulders, I can see….I mean, how cool is that?

I’m sorry. I stopped reading your post at the part about imperfect Christians. Whatever do you mean, Lynn???
hhahhha (just kidding. Really.) LOL
I have to check her out. I’m still digging Delta Goodrem, especially “In This Life”. I don’t believe it’s a “religious” song, but to me it has Jesus all over it. I love pop songs with God’s message subtely woven in.
Have a wonderful day, Lynn!
