MUSICAL MONDAYS
Musical Mondays about our favorite music. What’s your favorite song? If you’re a writer, does it inspire your creativity? Cure writer’s block? If you’re not a writer, what do your favorite songs do for you?
This song has become an important song to me as I delve deeper and deeper into the world of writing. I’ve put the link for the lyrics below, but the words that stand out to me the most are the main course:
“To my audience of one, you are Father, and you are Son. As your spirit flows fre, Let it find within me a heart that beats to praise you.”
I’ve often talked about “Audience of One” when it comes to my writing. People ask me what I mean. It’s about writing for God. He’s my audience, right? What I write is to honor Him, so He’s my audience. When I found this song, it just solidified that deep within me.

Great song and comments this Monday — I’ve got “Breathe Your Life into me” by Red on my mind today. I had never applied “Audience of One” to writing before. You are brilliant! Inspiring! Thank you!

Great song, Lynn! Thanks for sharing!

“Give Me Your Eyes” by Brandon Heath is what’s been playing on my I-pod a lot lately. It’s got more of a beat to it, which gets me pumped up to write!

This song has touched a lot of lives. It’s pretty cool to see the impact one progression of chords can have on someone.
I’m working on writing another for my soundtrack right now. If I can slow down long enough to work on the progression, I think it would turn out pretty cool.
