Burn for You, by TobyMac
***
I was listening to KLove the other day and heard this song. The energy, the beat, and the words nailed me! Bigtime. I love to find songs that pump me up for a long run, hard bike ride, and a major write-fest (to use my friend JC’s word).
This song fit the bill on ALL levels!

I love the part where he sings, “I feel revived again, I am alive again; You got me lifted and lifted you life me up; I feel revived again, I’m energized again; You got me lifted and lifed you lift me up.
I love when I find a song that can remind me that really, the only one who can truly lift me up is God. He meets me NO MATTER where I am.

Toby. Mac. Rocks.

Toby Mac. The thing that struck me most when I interviewed him was his devotion to his children. He’s such a cool human being.

I’m digging this song! It sounds like he’s sampling “S.O.S.” by the Police. Way cool.

Jen tried to post this, for some reason it isn’t working, so here goes:

Hey, I tried to respond to your question about this song on your blog. Will it only let you leave one comment a day?

JEN–DC talk and then TOBY MAC are awesome. Some of their stuff is a bit “rappy” for me, but some I really like. Especially to get pumped for something. Their words are awesome too. Don’t they sing a song Colored people? About how skin color doesn’t matter? I love that song.
JC–NICE!
Tracy–Thanks for swingin’ by.
Gzusfreek–It IS FUNKY isn’t it. I surprised you with this one, didn’t I Ms. Gzusfreek! **smile**

LOL, JC. Lynn, it’s funky! I hadn’t heard it. Toby Mac’s got a story too? huh? Maybe your the one that told me about his struggles in life. Anyway good song. I’m with you on the “I feel revived again, I am alive again; You got me lifted and lifted you life me up; I feel revived again, I’m energized again; You got me lifted and lifed you lift me up.

Still listening to Christmas musics….

I realized I didn’t answer the question of what is on my playlist. Right now I’m playing the heck out of a cd called Shine Through The Stars by the group Chasen. My favorite song from the cd is Crazy Beautiful.

I’m really liking Chris Tomlin. Have you ever heard his song God Of This City? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d61LamkXfwk

I love TobyMac. I listen to alot of his music. I have all of his cds. I can’t really narrow it down to a favorite. When I go walking, I like listening to his more upbeat songs. Have you ever seen him in concert? He’s even better in person. Great energy in the room. I saw him about 3 years ago on New Year’s Eve at a youth conference in Gatlinburg Tenn. What a way to bring in the new year. ; -)
