Well, this past Labor Day weekend marked the one year anniversary of The Crash. You can click here for the story, but for the most part, it was an ugly bike crash.
And on this past Saturday, it marked a year since it happened.
Yep, you guessed it. Went for a bike ride.
75-mile bike ride to be exact.
I even went past the spot where I crashed, and the fire department that came to my aid so quickly.
Another little perk of taking a long bike ride this past weekend was that I started getting some ideas for the sequel to Wasteland. I just finished the third book to Frostbite last week and am in the mood to keep another series going.
So, we’ll see where that takes me, right?
How’d you celebrate over the Labor Day weekend? Hopefully with didn’t include any cracked helmets!!
Can’t believe that’s been a year already! WOW, time flies! It’s always good to celebrate a divine rescue. 🙂 I’m glad you’re still pedaling! Write on, sister!
Oh, I “celebrated” Labor Day PACKING. Montana, here we come!
Wow. I’ve never worn a bike helmet, but this sure makes me rethink that! Guess I know what I’m buying soon.
75 miles. Awesome.
Oh, and my weekend was spent editing. Which was exactly what I wanted to do!
Uh-Oh…yep, go get one!! 🙂
Glad you got a lot of editing done!
YES, everyone should wear a helmet. When I was a therapist at Shepherd Spianl center you wouldn’t believe the number of head and spinal injuries that could have been prevented. Thanks for sharing this, and I’m glad you are okay and ridding again.
Right on, Ciara!! I head would have been TRASHED without my helmet. I’ve cracked a few in my speed skating/biking career!
Wow, I totally spelled saddle wrong–this coming from an equestrian of over 15 years. Yikes!
LOL!! Well, you did leave the comment early in the morning. . . Brain not firing on all cylinders yet. . . Been there, done that. LOL
Congrats on getting back in the saddel, er, bike seat, that is. 😉
Good for you, Lynn. Not everyone would be willing to ride again. I’m glad you faced your fears.
I spent the weekend with family and friends, so it was great.
Thanks! Glad you had a good time with your family/friends.
