#QuoteOfTheDay

Rocks come in lots of shapes and sizes. They can be jagged. They can be positioned almost like steps up an incline. Or, they could be a huge obstacle you have to literally climb over.

I faced all kinds of them this past weekend during a 20-mile, 4-Peak challenge.

Some of these boulders I met, paired with gale force winds, really threw me for a loop.

And, yep, I thought, “why am I doing this?” a few times.

At some point, when facing anything big, that very thought dances through my tired brain. And then inspiration comes along in some form.

On this particular event, it was seeing a friend on the course. A beautiful view. A memory of a person I’m running for. A text from my sweet hubby.

Those things seems to pop up when I needed them most. So, if you’re facing something big, athletic or not, keep your eyes open. You never know where you’ll find some inspiration to keep on keepin’ on.
