  • Tailwind Black Friday Event

Anyone who knows me, knows I love Tailwind. I first tried it after winning a few tubes as a prize at a running event, and I’ve never looked back.

I use it while I’m doing any kind of exercise/activity more than an hour long, and LOVE that it doesn’t mess with my gut at all. It’s difficult to find a hydration product that doesn’t mess with the gut.

You can tell ultra athletes had something to do with its creation. 🙂

Their wicked-awesome Black Friday event has started, and it goes on all weekend, so give them a click.

  • Back to the Trails

Holy smokes was I a happy camper yesterday.

    Can you tell why?

The sun, fresh air, and great company had me smiling ear to ear for most of the day. It’s amazing how doing something you love–or a version of it–can really help your mental health.

I hit the trails yesterday at Dixie for a little hike. Still have to wear my sandals as the top of my foot still gets pretty angry when I try and wear my running shoes, but that’s okay. the Teva sandals I got work pretty well.

I’m so thankful for the sun, the warmth and great friends.

So get out there, my friends, and face off with those obstacles. You can do it!

  • Candy Hangover? #TheRunningWriter

Happy November, my friends. Anyone suffering from a candy hangover?

I’m looking forward to a great month. Getting back on the trails after foot surgery, enjoying the cooler weather, and writing more.

I got the all clear from Doc to start biking, and while I’m not a huge fan of the stationary bike, I was all like, “YES! I’ll take it.”

It’s amazing what you appreciate after some forced down time. What you take for granted. Sure makes you rethink things.

Here’s to a great November, everyone. A month filled with positivity, strength and adventure.

What goals do you have in mind?

  • A Day of Nothing #TheRunningWriter

This morning, about the time I’m typing this, I had been scheduled to be running down the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on my grand adventure of running Rim to Rim to Rim (R2R2R).

    Instead. Here I am:

I get to spend the next week pretty much like this. Foot up. Netflix binge-watching on the TV. And my little friend Rocket carrying me around the house.

I’d been planning the R2R2R adventure for over a year. My sweet hubby and I were going to do it together. He’s never done Rim to Rim, and I’ve done it twice. But R2R2R…I’d never done that, and the thought of doing that adventure with my soulmate…to say I was looking forward to it would be an understatement.

But, the universe had different plans for me. I should be angry, right?

Well…..when you start jumping into “shoulds” it can lead to some serious attitude issues. It can lead to anger and frustration. Now, I’ll admit I’m sad. I mean, who wouldn’t be after all that planning and such?

You know what, though? The Grand Canyon isn’t going anywhere, and after I’m all healed up, I’ll be stronger than ever. So watch out, Grand Canyon, here I come.

But today’s question…which Movie and/or Series should I Netflix today?
