IN THE PENALTY BOX Deleted Scene

A person holding a coffee cup in front of an open book.

As you might have heard on one of our many LIVE events during release week, IN THE PENALTY BOX was once over 100,000 words! We ended up having to cut a lot of scenes and remove a variety of story threads so we could really hone in on Brodie and Willow’s relationship.

One of those threads was a SECRET SANTA event along with Brodie struggling with a class in school that might have prevented him from playing hockey his senior year.

We’re going to release a whole chapter that was cut, but only in my newsletter. It’ll go out some time next week, so be sure to sign up so you don’t miss out.

Don’t worry, I won’t spam you. But what you will get for subscribing is exclusive content, like deleted chapters and scenes, but also you’ll be privy to giveaways and fun stuff that won’t be offered anywhere else (even the Street Team page).

    Thanks for all your support!!

  • #CancerSucks Update

GREAT NEWS today on the cancer front. Mum got another clear scan! Next one is in six months, then it’s just blood tests every few months for the next year and a half.

SOOO thankful for the clear scan. I got to see her today and she’s looking fantastic. Walking is almost back to normal, she’s even riding a bike!

Those new to the blog or new to my books, I donate a portion of my proceeds to the American Cancer Society because cancer has been running deep in my family and friends these past two years. First my mother-in-law passes, then my Mum (step-mom) and a few dear friends were diagnosed.

I figured I’d try to help a little, so every once in a while, I give updates and today, I’m so happy to report great news of my Mum’s clear scan!

Unfortunately with great news often some not so great news comes along. That’s just how the INSANE world of cancer goes. My uncle has been moved to hospice. His lung cancer is so aggressive, no treatment is available. They haven’t given him a time frame, but most of the family feels he’ll pass away soon.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, and all of your support. You guys ROCK.

If cancer is touching your life in some way, I would love to hear about it so I can put you on my cancer prayer wall that I have here on my computer. Just leave a comment, or email me directly (LynnRush {at} lynnrush {dot} com.)

  • Thank You

You’ve heard me say it before, but I’ll say it again

    READERS RULE!

We had this epic Twitter party planned last night at the hashtag #MAGICKED. Five authors, tons of prizes and a grand prize of a $100 gift card.

But Twitter decided to throw a glitch in the festivities. It’s pretty tough to have a Twitter party when tweets don’t go through, right?

    So, FACEBOOK saved the day.

You guys followed us over to Facebook and we went on to have an amazing party. It was super fun. We had virtual drinks and ice cream and got to give away tons of prizes!

Stay tuned for more fun things coming!

Have a SUPER DAY and thanks again for all your support!

  • This Writer’s Journey…Katrina

ThisWritersJourneyWriting is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour alone at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.

I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week (or so) I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!

    Katrina WhittakerKatrina Whittaker

I met Katrina online (surprising, I know-LOL). I can’t even remember when anymore, but I’ll tell ya, she’s a joy. This rockin’ chick LOVES books. She’s always talking up what she’s reading and is so supportive of the authors she reads.

Readers are why I write, and Katrina is a prime example of a rock star reader!! I’ve been blessed to “meet” and get to know her. Though, it’s kinda weird when she’s always Facebooking about “tomorrow” before it happens….**wink**(she’s in Australia)

    Read on, my friend!
