• My Time’s Coming to an end…

    For a while, anyway. . .

    Lynn returns home tonight, but I figured I’d give her a little rest time, so I’ll be with you through the weekend.

    You guys have been a blast to hang out with. Thankfully the Vamps have been quite this week so I’ve been able to hang around with you all fairly trouble-free. To tell you the truth, though, I’m a little nervous about how quiet it’s been on campus lately.

    Sure, it’s summer, and there are only a handful of us summer-school peeps on campus, but still. It’s like all the Vamps up and left or something.

    Very strange.

    It’s given me tons of time to catch up on some of my favorite movies, though. Blade being one of them. You might have seen all my tweets about it. I did a little Blade movie marathon.

    And we can’t forget Supernatural. **le sigh** Dean and Sammy. They’re all kinds of hot.

    What movies/shows have you been watching over the summer?

  • This Writer’s Journey–Alan Dean Foster

    Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.
    I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!

    ~~~~~
    Alan Dean Foster
    I met Alan through my publicist back in March. He graciously agreed to go on The Morning Scramble with me. At first I was like, Really? You’re a NY Times Best Selling Author, what do you want to do hanging around me?
    For real.
    He was just so nice. Gracious. Encouraging. It was really great getting to know him. And then he came down to join me at my Awaited Book Launch event at The Changing Hands Bookstore in May. He even gave me an autographed The Chronicles of Riddick book! **whoa**
    I’m so very glad I got to get to know Alan on my writing journey. Such an amazingly talented person. His smile is contagious and he’s just so sweet. So, thank you, Alan, for coming along side me in my journey!
  • Where Readers Rule…
    Readers DO rule, don’t they?
    It’s events like RomCon that are designed for you. It’s a chance to meet your favorite authors, interact with them, and talk things you both love.
    Books
    I’m attending this for the first time. I’m stoked about heading back to Denver. I lived there for a few years (Castle Rock, actually). And plus, it’s June 22-24th so it’ll give me a break from the desert heat!
    Who’s in? If you’re there, I totally want to meet you! I’ll be around, but for sure at the book signing!
  • Escaping Angel…
    I found another beauty:
    Wow. I was surfing around and stumbled across this on Google Images. Check out those claws reaching for her. It even has a little bit of a sunrise/sunset (not sure which) going on there. So that makes it even better!!
    Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
  • I’m heading to ROMCON…are you?
    Only about five weeks away….
    I’m super excited to head to DENVER for the RomCon adventure.
    It’ll be my FIRST year attending, so I’m super excited. for a couple reasons.
    I get to meet YOU GUYS, the readers! I love hanging out with you all, chatting up all things paranormal, writing, and books in general. YOU GUYS ROCK.
    The second reason…I get to hang out with the amazing KENDALL GREY again! We met for the first time at RT back in April and it was super fun.
    So, are you going? Ever attended a READER-focused book convention? If you could meet ANY author, who would it be?
