WHO IS YOUR HERO?
Who’s your hero?
We’ve all grown up with people that inspire us. Those we look up to. Could it be a parent? A friend? A sports figure? An actor? I thought back to when I was a kid. The person who first popped into my mind was Ivan Lendl. For those of you who don’t follow the sport, he’s a former Word No. 1 professional tennis player.
I grew up playing tennis and it even helped pay my way through college. Ivan Lendl was the first “hero-type” I remember really impacting me, though. He was calm, not known for having a massive temper flaring every five minutes. Well and the fact that had some serious talent didn’t hurt either, huh? I mean EIGHT grand slam titles? HOLY MOLY.
A few years ago now, I stumbled across this group, Superchick, and I got a new idea of what or who a hero could be. It’s a sweet song, but listen to the words, those are the real kicker…..

SUFFICIENT
I’m often inspired by songs, but the most inspirational singer I’ve come across up until now is Adie Camp.

My hubby and I found out about her on a local Christian radio station. It’s a funny story, though, because the radio station NEVER EVER EVER said her name after the song. We were always like, “who is this, we want this song.” We spent hours on I tunes, google, you name it. But, we’re just clueless I guess, because we could never find it.
Well, one night, we had heard the song again, and I was determined to find it. So, I sat on I tunes for the better part of a Saturday night surfing I tunes. I found it tucked under ROCK. I had been searching various words hoping they were the title, etc, etc. Well, needless to say, I finally found it.
Check out her site and her little You Tube video. Sufficient is a great song and Your Way is equally as good. It just inspires me to seek first God’s will in my writing, in my life, and in my marriage. When I’m discouraged or suffering from a bit of writer’s block, I sit down, listen Adie’s songs a few times, and bam, I’m feeling so much better.

New Favorite Song
Ok, this song has just won my heart. It’s so true. Adie (Wife of Jeremy Camp) is amazing. I first found her with her song Sufficient. Then, I discovered her song Your Way! OMG. You have to go buy this one on I-Tunes if you want to hear a fantastic song.
