Ever get in the “poor me” mindset?

    ***raises hand***

It happens pretty easily, especially when you’re faced with a life obstacle. It could be a small one or a mountain sized one. Regardless of the size, tough days are just that–tough.

So, today, I choose to start out thankful. Thankful for my hubby, my coffee, my friends, my faith…

As I started listing things and people to be thankful for, more and more came to mind. My heart lightened a bit, and I was reminded that while I might be struggling with something, there is still plenty to be thankful for.

So give it a try. What is one thing you’re thankful for today?

  • Back to the Trails

Holy smokes was I a happy camper yesterday.

    Can you tell why?

The sun, fresh air, and great company had me smiling ear to ear for most of the day. It’s amazing how doing something you love–or a version of it–can really help your mental health.

I hit the trails yesterday at Dixie for a little hike. Still have to wear my sandals as the top of my foot still gets pretty angry when I try and wear my running shoes, but that’s okay. the Teva sandals I got work pretty well.

I’m so thankful for the sun, the warmth and great friends.

So get out there, my friends, and face off with those obstacles. You can do it!

  • What are you thankful for?

In a few days it’ll be Thanksgiving. It’s a time to dwell on that for which we’re thankful.

So, I thought I’d share a bit about what I’m thankful for. There’s too much to be able to list in one post, but here’s a small peek into what I’m thankful for.

God and His willingness to love a screw up like me.
My hubby. He takes such fantastic care of me and treats me like a precious treasure.
My family: Mom, step dad, sister, her hubby, and their daughter.
My family: This is my dad and his wife Penny
More famly: My brother-in-law and his family
More family: My mother and father in law
I'm thankful for my health. And hopefully it'll hold out on my 100-mile bike ride this Saturday.
I couldn't possibly list photos of all my writer friends or I might overload the internet, but here is one of me and two of them heading up to a writers retreat this past summer.

So, what are you thankful for?
