THE END
I love typing those words. Although I know it’s truly not the end, because I have tons of revisions to look forward to, but still. The story is done from start to finish so I always type the end.
Now it’ll sit and simmer while I work on other projects.
But in the mean time. . . maybe you all can help me.
I need a title.
Yep. I’m not so great at picking out titles so I could use your advice.
The first book is called FROSTBITE. CLICK HERE for a summary so you can get the taste of the story.
The second book is called ABSOLUTE ZERO so I’m wondering what you think I should call the third book.
I’ve been tossing out a few titles, but I keep coming back to something with Cryos in it (You know, like Cryosphere?) I mean, most of the story takes place in winter. Blizzards, and utter cold. (The previous two take place in the desert so it’s quite a change.)
Or even just plain old Cryos. It’s Ancient Greek for Cold, Frost or Ice which all apply to this book and the previous two.
I know publishers change titles a lot of the time, so really, it’s just a working title, but still. It’s fun to come up with something catchy.
Any ideas?

Whiteout!
This IS so fun! :))

Icebound. Frozen Heart. Glacier.
Endless Freeze. Bound in Ice. Bloodfreeze. Blood Ice or maybe… Snowblind. ?? Lost in Snow. Snowbound. Iced Heart. Frozen Night. Frozen Doom. (I’m not great at this, lol)
I could only think of a few with Cryo, that didn’t conjure up a medical setting in my head, like the folks that do cryo-genics…
Cryostorm.
Did you pick one already?
Lynn Rush
THANKS! Nope, haven’t picked one yet. These are great ideas. SWEET!

I’m only good with titles if I know a little more about the book, but based on your earlier titles, how about BONECHILL?
It depends…I don’t know if that will suit the plot. But it’s fun. And spooky. Maybe too spooky. 🙂
Lynn Rush
Ohhhhh–Bonechill. . .. .interesting idea. You all ROCK. These are great ideas. THANKS!

I’ve always liked the word Blistering when referring to cold, but I don’t know how you would work that into a title. Arctic Horizon, Arctic Rising, Frigid End, or something like that sounds cool to me to sum up a trilogy, but I don’t know. I’m not good at titles….so much pressure. Congrats on finishing your novel. That is an awesome achievement!

Ohhh, these are awesome. And you say you’re not at titles? I beg to differ.
Thanks! It was a fun series to write. 🙂
Linda
How about: Iced? or Frozen Over?
Lynn Rush
I’m glad you said Iced, Linda. I had that one written down as well. I love, love, love one word titles. THANKS!

Oh, I’m totally digging Sub-Zero. It fits beautifully with the previous two titles.
And congrats on finishing the trilogy.
Lynn Rush
Sub Zero is way up there on the “I’m loving it” list for sure. It does fit well with the others, doesn’t it?
Jill
I’ve been thinking and I have another one, Permafrost.
Lynn Rush
You know, I had this on my list, but it didn’t set well with me. Not sure why. Maybe cuz I have frost in part of the title for the first book? Or I was thinking perma grin—LOL! 🙂

Congrats, Lynn! That’s always a great feeling 🙂 I’m a title fanatic. I have to have a title before I start working on something. I like Sub Zero, but Less than Zero keeps popping up in my brain. I wonder if I heard that song recently…hm. Good luck picking a title!
Lynn Rush
Less than Zero has been used quite a bit with movies and books. I googled it cuz I thought it sounded good, but familiar. Sure rolls off the tongue, though, doesn’t it? so far I’m thinking Sub Zero and Cryos are in the lead. We’ll see what happens. 🙂

Wow, how do you plug so many stories out so quickly? How many novels have you finished this year? As for the title, I like all the choices. I’m afriad that I’m terrible with titles.
Lynn Rush
Wonder why titles are so hard, huh? I’ve written a few novels so far this year. I write when the story comes so I just go with it LOL 🙂
lbdiamond
I ilke Cryos. Congrats on finishing the trilogy!!! 😀
Lynn Rush
Thanks, LBDiamond!! It’s exciting for sure. I loved writing Mandy. She’s such fun.

Congratulations! Hmm…I really like Sub-Zero, too. Or something like “Sixty Below.”
Lynn Rush
Ohhh, Nice one! I’m adding to the list. Thanks!

What about: Frozen.
Lynn Rush
I actually have that on my list as well. Along with Iced, Chilled, and a few more. I’m glad someone else thought of Frozen, that makes it move up the list of possibilities for sure!!! 🙂

I like Sub Zero. . .Love brainstorming titles. . .let see, I like Cryos too. I’ll have to mull this one over 🙂
Lynn Rush
Cryos is high up there on my FAV list right now, too. You’re always so good at brainstorming titles. 🙂
Jill
Boy, you sure do crank out the stories. 🙂 The first title that popped into my head was Sub Zero.
Lynn Rush
Oh yeah. I LOVE Sub Zero! I’ll check into it and see if it’s been used much. 🙂
Lynn Rush
Oh crud. I already have “zero” in the title of the second book. Grrrr….
