This Writer's Journey

This Writer’s Journey . . .

Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.

I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!

Frank Redman

I met Frank at the ACFW conference in September of 2009. I’m not exactly sure how we connected at the conference, only that we did. He’s a sweet guy with a wicked-funny sense of humor. The conference, for the most part, was a blur, considering it was my first national writing conference, but I walked away with some great connections.

And Frank is one of them.

He’s a constant encouragement, and for those of you who are writers reading this, that’s way important. It’s a tough road writing for publication, so it’s nice to find those who are available for a supportive ear that only other writers can lend.

Because face it, we’re weird. Takes a special type to understand how our freakishly weird minds work!

Anyway. Frank was instrumental in helping me connect with and find my agent. His support and encouragement helped me land at Tribe and for that, I’m forever grateful.

Thanks, Frank. I’m glad to know you. You’re such a gracious, godly man and a great example of what a friend is.
