This Writer’s Journey . . .

~~~
Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.
I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me—all of you—during this exciting time!
Ciara Knight
Ciara Knight and I connected through the internet, like many of my close writer friends. If I remember correctly, we have a mutual friend through ACFW that connected us. Anyone who knows me knows my memory is pitiful, so I may not remember exact details of how I meet people, but to me the relationship is what matters.
Ciara is so laid back, thoughtful, and encouraging. She is always quick to offer support when things are tough and celebrate when things go well–with both writing and everyday life stuff.
We often bounce ideas off one another when it comes to titles, character names, or just whatever. She’s such a great writer, and when she critiques a story of mine, I come away from it a better writer.
Thanks, Ciara. I’m so glad our paths crossed!
  1. Ha! I enjoy Ciara, and it has been a while since I’ve been HERE, so I’m glad she brought me over! Lynn, you were among the early people I followed around! Blast it though, if it wasn’t before I figured out how to incorporate the wordpress blogs… I will rectify that!
  2. *blush* Thanks everyone. I heart you too. 🙂 I don’t think I could have made the journey this far without all of you. I’m so thankful to have such amazing writing friends.
  3. Aw, I heart Ciara. She’s so sweet and thoughtful! I think I connected with her through your blog, although I can’t remember exactly how, but I’m very glad I did 🙂
  4. Lindsay – Nice to meet you. 🙂 Do you have a blog?
    Hi Jill, nice to meet you.
    Rachel, I totally love you too! You are so talented!
    Kendall, *blushes* thank you. I’m so sorry, I won’t be able to go tomorrow. My little guy has been in respiratory distress. Headed back to the doctor again. I can’t leave him until he is stable. I HOPE you will be there again soon. If not, we’ll just have to meet for coffee one day. 🙂
  5. Connecting through the internet is like connecting with people down the street. Until you meet them you never knew each other exists, then you become fast friends for life. And fast friends is sometimes better than a good memory. With them you can get regrounded. Ah, what was I talking about. Anyway, nice to meet you Ciara.
