Throwback Thursday–Celebrate Marriage Week

Okay, so we’ll have a marriage themed “Throwback Thursday” —  And yep, you can guess it…I found a song/video blast from the past.

Hey, it’s just a song though, okay?—  ☺  There’s no other reason I picked this other than it’s from when I grew up, he was a wicked-cool musician (yea, a little different with the twitchy lip and all), and way creative.

Plus, he’s in one of my favorite movies (Wedding Singer)

Yep, you guessed it…Billy Idol

**Do you remember when Billy Idol flew onto the music scene? Yikes, he was kinda scary, huh? LOL**

  1. I was always sort of scared of Billy Idol. Weird, I know….

    – smile –

I’m in your native Minnesota this week, Lynn. We came up, north of Brainerd, yesterday afternoon.

  2. KM Wilsher says:

I adored him. Yeah, kinda scary, but for 2 seconds 😉 His voice is perfect.

I loved the Wedding Singer and his part was so cool. He seems like he is a nice/fun guy.

    :p Like Throwback Thursday 🙂

  3. Billy Coffey says:

Billy Idol was my hero. I even practiced his snarl. Never quite got it down right, though…

  4. Kat says:

So, Billy Coffey, would you say Billy was your idol?

    *slaps knee*

I’m sneering at you right now, Lynn. Can you see it? 🙂

I loved Billy Idol back in the day. When he made a cameo in Adam Sandler’s “The Wedding Singer” I about died.

  5. Lynn Rush says:

Jennifer–That’s not weird, he was a bit scary at first. LOL. Yeah, say hi to MinnEEEsota for me. 🙂
    KM–I like his voice too!
Bill–I can do the snarl…believe it or not…
Kat-**slaps knee right along with ya!** So, you got the sneer down too?? Oh yeah, I loved that part in Wedding Singer–Wine bottle in one hand, the other thrust up in his trademark “Right” gesture! It was awesome.

  6. Lauryn says:

LOL! Billy Idol ~ boy did he have the bad boy thing down! Ahh, I remember those days well!

    Good one, Lynn!

  7. Edna Tollison says:

I don’t like you tube it seems all they have on is somthing stupid and the young people think it is so funny. That is the way it is when you get old nothing is funny anymore.
