Synopsis from IMDB:

John is an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have already been killed … he is Number Four.

My Review:

WOW!

Really, WOW sums it up for me. I judge a movie by whether or not I’d buy it. And let me tell you, I think I might go see this one again in the theaters.

Yep. THAT GOOD!

Oh, and for sure I’m going to buy it. The movie kicked Avatar off my most favorite movie now.

I know it didn’t get the best reviews or make a bazillion bucks like maybe everyone thought it would, but this movie is right up my alley.

I don’t know this main actor, Alex Pettyfer, but I think he did really well. His eyes were so expressive. I love his inner struggles and he portrayed them well.

Henri (Timothy Olyphant) cracked me up, too, with his expressions and one liners. The story was intriguing to me as well. then again, this is pretty much the kind of stories I write and love to read, so, I’m not surprised by how much I loved it.

One of my favorite characters, though, is number six. She kicks some serious butt, has an attitude, oh, and she drives a cycle, so of course I love her!

I always catch Cinema Sound Off when there are like five other more recent posts on your blog, Lynn. haha

Great review. I’m hungry to see this movie now. Last movie I saw with Pettyfer in it was Alex Rider, which I loved (though I was mostly alone in that…).

    Can’t wait to see IAN4! 🙂

Saw it, loved it, knew you’d love it too. We’ll definitely buy it when it comes out. The main actor, Pettyfer, is in another movie out right now – Beastly. It’s a modern (live-action) take on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. Pretty good, actually. Not as great as Number Four, but a thoughtful, paranormal fable kind of movie as well.

I’m so glad you reviewed this. I might actually hire a sitter this weekend and take my husband on a date. I can’t remember the last time we’ve been out. I’m so excited to see this now. 🙂 Have a great day!

It’s rare to want to see a movie twice, in the theaters, with the high prices. I haven’t seen the movie, but based on your great review, maybe I should. Happy Tuesday, Lynn!
