Debate This…Vampires

It’s no secret I like Vampires. My Violet Night Trilogy is about them. Well, more Emma, who hunts them because Fate didn’t really give her a choice….

So, when I heard Underworld FOURwas coming out, I had to bring the topic to Debate This.

I think that series of movies is arguably one of the best ones out there. I know it’s subjective, just like the book industry, so I had to throw it out there.

But first, check out the latest trailer:

I must say, I was disappointed a certain Michael didn’t show up in this trailer….I’d so hoped he’d be in this one. I love Michael!

The story behind these vampires and lycans is really unique and intriguing. I love it!

But what do you think? What vampire movies are your favorites?

I love Underworld, but I also loved the vampires in Hugh Jackman’s Van Helsing too!

Francis Ford Coppolas Dracula was yummy too…

I’ll always have a soft spot for Interview with a Vampire too… Who knew Tom Cruise would be such an amazing Lestat???

And for sheer fun factor… Fright Night and The Lost Boys!!!

Yes I love me some vampires! LOL

I am a big fan of Underworld and am glad this series is back. My favorite vampire movies are, the Twilight series (even though I’m Team Jacob…glad he’s gonna get some love in B.D. lol), the Blade series, and my all time favorite is Interview with the Vampire.

Favourite vampires movies… Lost Boys is a good one. The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer takes the entire concept of camp vampire humour to a high Leslie Nielson frankly couldn’t ever hope to manage. Blade (1 & 3, though Luke Goss is awesome in 2). I’m looking forward to Underworld 4, though I never saw 3, mostly because it doesn’t feature Selene and her rubber armour.

The vampire movie I really want to see is the one where Blade teams up with Buffy to wipe out the entire cast of the Twighlight saga. Seriously, I tend to prefer my vampires as predators, and undead. The ones in my stories slowly degrade from basically human, to undead monster as they age (and decay). Anne Rice was nice giving vampires a voice, but it’s gone too far.

Ohhhh. I LOVE Lost Boys. That’s a classic. LOL on the Twilight comment. That cracked me up. Blade and Buffy, now that’d be a sight, huh? 🙂

I like Underworld, but I think they’ve taken the series too far and are just trying to eek more money out of it.

    Anyway….

I really enjoyed Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, and, yes, the Twilight series, LOL!

Are you going to the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn? I’m not, but I’m stoked to see it. I’ve liked the movies and the books. I joke about the sparkly vamps, but I do like the concept. Really creative. I love Edward, have always been team Edward. 🙂

Bridget Jones’s Diary, PS I love you, …. those sort of things, y’know. I’m currently writing a rom-com novel series; really tough but I love getting into the story of the character (i.e. myself but under a different persona) and creating my dreams come alive. It just feels so…. liberating!!!

I hear ya. 🙂 Bridget Jone’s…she cracks me up. 🙂 I’ve not seen the entire movie in one sitting, but parts as it’s played from time to time on TV. How fun!! 🙂 Awesome. Write on, my friend!

I’m actually looking forward to it. I really enjoyed the Underworld movies, probably more than other vampire movies, although Blade (the first one) will always be one of my favorites. I just liked how kick butt he was, LOL

I love this series too and have been anxiously waiting for this movie. I was sad Michael wasn’t in this either but I’m sure they’ll explain what happened to him and it’ll still be a good movie.
Another recent vampire movie I really liked was Daybreakers. I’m hoping they make a sequel or prequel of that one!

    • Lynn Rush

OH yeah. Daybreakers. I saw that one. I think I did a review here…maybe. I can’t remember. BUT….I remember liking that movie for sure! Unique twist on things with that movie! 🙂

    • Lynn Rush

Yeah. Two was pretty good, just cuz I liked the love story party. 🙂 I’m a sap. I know. 🙂 I am glad Kate is back, too. Just wish Michael was, too!
