Life and Whatnot

Happy Friday

I hope everyone has a stellar day today. TGIF indeed. I’m ready for a weekend of play time. Here in the desert today, it’s raining, yep, I said raining! So, a short break in the stifling 100+ degree days is most welcome as far as I’m concerned.

This morning, I had the chance to ride with some triathletes from the First Wave Tri group. It was pretty awesome. Some of these guys have done the Iron Man. Yep, the big one. That just amazes me. I mean, I’ve been called pretty crazy when people have heard some of the training/competitions I’ve done with inline speed skating, but I am PALE in comparison. It’s just so fun to ride with them and hear their stories.

So, at the tail end of my 24 mile ride with them, the sky opened up and I got drenched. Now,I moved to the desert from Denver, Colorado, so I have it in my head to NEVER , EVER get caught in the rain because Colorado rain is pretty much liquid ICE it’s so cold. But out here, the rain is so warm. It actually felt really refreshing.

Well, my final edits are in for the FIRST LINE contest. I should have my final draft ready for submission by the weekend. So, if you pray, pray that they like my story. And if they don’t like it, well, pray I’m OK with that too.

Yesterday, there was a great success story with one of my fellow Young Adult Christian Fiction writers. She just sold her debut novel (A Series of Three books)! Yep, a LOUD shout out to: Stephanie Morrill. She’s represented by Mortimer Literary Agency . You should go and check out the story. It’s inspiring.

Ok, so, how totally awesome is this picture?

My sister-in-law, for the VERY first time in TEN years, will not have a kid at home during the day. Yep, that’s quite an amazing feat! She answered God’s call to stay at home with her children. She has such a neat testimony. In a nutshell, she left her job working for the Chamber of Commerce in Castle Rock, CO, stayed home with the children until they were all in school, and just the other day, she walked all three of them to the bus stop.

Together. All in school. The house is empty from 8am-3pm—– WOW. Great job Sandi!!!

Have a GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!!

God Bless, and remember: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
