Life and Whatnot

IT’S BACK TO REALITY, HUH?

Well, the weekend is over. My trip down wedding memory lane has come to an end for this year. It’s so awesome, once a year, to let yourself be taken back to a memory so strong that when you watch videos, see pictures, you’re immediately there again. Hearing the sounds, smelling the smells, and feeling the emotions.

So, today, it’s back to reality. But during my hiatus from reality over the weekend, I got to reading some sweet books. It’s the Vampire series from Stephanie Meyer. I had been hearing some of the hype about her series, so I had to check it out. It really does draw you in. Yes, it’s about Vampires, dark magic, etc, but the writing is pretty good from what I can tell. I’m really drawn into the characters and the obstacles they face trying to be together. It’s good. In a week, I read three of the four. This weekend, I’ll finish up the series.

I’m really intrigued by the first person point of view. Although my series is in third person limited omniscient, and the point of view is deep, I think I’ll try and do a first person POV some time in the near future. It’s intriguing to get so deep into someone’s psyche. Sounds like fun.

Anyway, I hope you all had a stellar weekend and found some time to write, work, and play. I’m putting my thinking cap on for my next week long series….we’ll see what comes up!

God Bless.

First person is a trip, Sheri! There’s no better way to feel an intimate connection with your characters than to “let them” write it through first person.
