Life and Whatnot

It’s the weekend!

It’s been a great week. I’m done with the day job now for two whole weeks!

Why, you ask?

I’m off to ENGLAND!!!

Woo-Hoo.

I’ve never been across the pond. Have you?

What advice do you have to share?

~~~
Be sure to stay tuned to the Catch the Rush blog, my characters are going to hold down the fort while I’m gone.
I’ve heard whisperings of a CONTEST they might be throwing your way while I’m gone!
So, stay tuned. . .
    I LOVED my trip to England and would hop on over again in a heartbeat if I could. My suggestions:
    *eat local – even if it looks nasty, TRY IT, you may never get another chance;
    *in London, the Underground system is pretty efficient and safe (when I was there anyway) so MIND THE GAP (you’ll find out what that means!);
    *take A TON of pictures;
    *get out to the countryside for at least a little while – it is a site to see – so gorgeous – and like going back in time.
    Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!
    I am so jealous! You guys are going to have so much fun!! Advice I have, is to make sure that you have the right clothes for the current weather conditions…it can really ruin your vacation if you are too warm or too cold. What we like to do when we travel like that is to try not to keep to tight of a schedule…figure out something you want to do or see, but leave plenty of time to get there, so if something comes up that looks interesting, you can take the initiative and go see/do it. I am not sure where you are going, but seeing a show in London is probably a must, and even though I haven’t spent much countryside, I know the Cotswolds are supposed to be very pretty…We loved visiting Oxford, but everyone says Cambridge is really pretty too…And have a pie (meat) pie and some sticky toffee pudding for me! Have a good trip! (Oh yeah, invest in an adaptor, easy to pick those up at the airport, but I bet you can get them cheaper at an electronics store in the States)
