Maze Runner Review

Maze Runner TheatreMaze Runner…Hmmm.

When it first came out, I was like, “Maybe.” Had it not been for my good friend, Courtney, I wouldn’t have gone.

Having said that…I’m kinda glad I went.

First.

Here’s the synopsis from IMDB:

Maze RunnerThomas is deposited in a community of boys after his memory is erased, soon learning they’re all trapped in a maze that will require him to join forces with fellow “runners” for a shot at escape.

Okay, I have to say, THOMAS rocked this character. The whole concept was really awesome. I haven’t read the book or anything, and I hear that the movie didn’t quite live up to the book.

Then again, when DOES a movie do that, right?

Each of the characters were pretty interesting for the most part. And a couple pretty predictable/stereotypical, which was a bummer, but it didn’t overshadow the movie enough for me to dislike it.

I gave it a 7/10 on IMDB–but I probably won’t be reading the books. Overall, this isn’t quite my genre, but I wish all the best for the movie and books.

What’d you guys think of this movie?

Sincerely,

LynnTransparent

I read the first book – it’s a series – and didn’t feel compelled to read the rest or see the movie. It was a good enough book but one of the characters were particularly compelling or different, and the ending was flat. Glad to hear you liked the movie, Lynn, maybe I will check it out.

It was okay-I was waiting for some Lord of the Flies action but thankfully that didn’t happen. The end didn’t really clarify anything-maybe the book would’ve helped me make sense of it?
