Writing

NaNoWriMo

Okay, some of you might be going, “HUH? What the heck is a NaNoWriMo?”

I first thought that as well. **LOL**

It stands for National Novel Writing Month.

You might be smirking, “Yeah, right. Write a novel in a month?”

Well, it’s actually a “contest” to see if we can get 50,000 words on our next noveldone from November 1st to November 30th.

Sure, some novels are 50,000 words, but mine aren’t, so I use this as a starting point. I’m going to try and write Emma and Jake’s third book, which you all helped me title: Violet Storm.

It’s totally fun to go through the process with so many other writers. Makes the process a tad less lonely, you know?

Are you guys doing it? Come “buddy” me and we’ll go through it together. My username is LynnRush.

If we were still in TX, I’d be joining you. But the move and all the changes have shoved all creativity to the back burner. I’m sad, but that’s life at the moment. But I’m off today, so I’ll be attempting to write a few words, even if they aren’t officially part of NaNoWriMo. Have fun!

SWEET! Yeah, come find me. Although the website hasn’t been working well…probably due to overload! I didn’t even get on yesterday to log in the word count. LOL

Revisions are good, too, lbdiamond. So, instead of saying “write on” should I say, “Edit on?” Just doesn’t flow the same. . . But have fun editing!!!

I’m in and moving at the required pace- I’m sure I’ll have a sprint this weekend and get a little ahead. So far, I have 3468 or something like that. You? Jillian

Morning Lynn! I remember reading some time ago that you were entertaining the idea of participating in NANOWRIMO. You are perfect for this challenge since your writing speed is amazing. I’m giving it a shot as well. I figured the only way I can do this is to stick to 1667 words a day, no ifs, ands or buts. Since I work full time, it’s difficult to do much more and still maintain my sanity. 🙂 The past two days I’ve been able to get in over 1700 words each day. I hope to get ahead on the weekends, we’ll see. I’ll look you up on the website. I think I am under the name Japill. I’ll bet you have 15,000 words already! 🙂 Have a great day!
