Romance Movies

What’s your favorite romance movie?

The week leading up to Valentine’s Day, I saw this question asked many times on various different blogs.

I have such a hard time thinking of my favorites on the spot like that, but now that I’ve had time to mull it over, it’s kind of fun.

Remembering those movies that made me go, “Ahh, that’s so sweet” made me smile. So, here are a few of my favorites–in no particular order.

Yeah, I know you’re wondering, “Avatar, really?”

Hey, it’s my list so I can pick what I want, right? 🙂 I was surprised, too, how much of a love story Avatar was.

So, what are a few of your favorite romance movies?

North and South. When John Thornton (Richard Armitage) watches Margaret drive away in the snow and says, “Look back. Look back at me.” Well, I’m a puddle.
For old timey movies, catch Random Harvest with Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson. Amnesia. True Love. Lost Love. WWII. Sigh. Oh, no, she didn’t.

My favorite love movie is “Somewhere In Time” with Chritopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Every time I watch it, I cry. To love someone so much yesterday, today and through all time – amazes me! I just feel their love when I watch this beautiful movie.

Sandra–Holy cow, those questions are hard. I didn’t go all the way through, just read a few. Holy Moly! 🙂
Cari–Oh no, TITANIC? Ahhhhh **Lynn runs away hands over her ears** Just kidding. I like Titanic, but, well, not a bunch. 🙂
LBDiamond–Ahhh, thanks. Heading over there next. 🙂 And you liked The Notebook, huh? I haven’t watched that one all the way thorugh I don’t think. It’s topping all the lists, though, of all the charts of top romance!
Danica–I LOVE you’ve got mail! Yeah, that’s funny that you write romance but don’t really watch that genre of movie. LOL. 🙂
KM–Underworld. Never would have thunk that to be romance, but it totally is now that I think of it. Mega love story, huh?
Lori–I’ll have to check out that movie. Skeet. He was in Scream, wasn’t he?

    Thanks for stoppin’ by, everyone!

As you know, I could go on and on about fave movies. 🙂 Instead, I’ll just mention one I watched recently that I adored. It’s a HALLMARK movie of all things, which usually make me gag. But this one was so sweet, had sound writing, a moral basis with some good points, and it was so romantic in a simple, heart-felt way. It’s called The Magic of Ordinary Days starring Keri Russell and Skeet Ulrich.
Top most romantic in my book, though, Pride & Prejudice (’05) and The Young Victoria.
    Happy Wednesday! 🙂

I have to admit…I’m not much of a romance movie person. Funny, considering I write romance, but if I had to pick, it would be You’ve Got Mail and French Kiss.

I liked The Notebook. Lord of the Rings had aspects of romance. Ghost. Must Love Dogs. Dracula, LOL! Immortal Beloved.

I have yet to see Avatar–though I very much would like to! 🙂

Titanic, still love it. I can’t hear that cheesy song without getting a bit choked up.
(I know, I know..this doesn’t fit my tough persona, but there it is)

For the sake of having fun take the Avatar IQ Test and find out how much do you know about the movie? I have taken the test and have enjoyed a lot. Take the Test and have fun….Enjoy!!
