    Happy Monday!

    ~~~
    I stumbled on a new song this weekend–at church no less!
    Yep, we’re doing a series on Heroes, and the music crew sang this song.
    I remember David Cook from Idol. He was great, too.
    So, who’s your hero?
    I’m always on the lookout for new songs to add to my iTunes library. I mean, music and writing go hand in hand for me. For each novel I write, I make a note of the songs that were playing on my headphones while pounding out the words.
    Same with biking.
    I can get through a three hour bike ride with just the right songs.There’s just something about music . . .
    Anyway…I’ve always been a Kelly Clarkson fan since when she won American Idol all those years ago.
    So, when I heard this song on the radio, I had to get itShe’s got such a great voice.
    Hope you enjoy!
    My poor sweet hubby. . . he’s had to endure another weekend of having my newest favorite song fixed on repeat on iTunes.
    I seriously have had this song playing non-stop since I heard it on American Idol this past week.
    Lady Antebellum — Need You Now.
    I’m not a HUGE country fan, but this song is great. Such a catchy tune. I can’t stop listening to it! I get that way when I hear a song I really love.
    What’s your newest favorite song?
    Emma Martin here. I convinced Lynn to let me host the blog this week, and it’s going to be so great!
    Some might be wondering why I wanted to host the blog this week so badly. Well, two reasons. One, she’s never let me host it before! And second, Lynn signed a contract with Hearts on Fire Press to publish my story. Yep, Violet Midnight is going to be published.
    What better way to celebrate than to have me, the main character, host, right?
    So, I hear Monday is all about music. That’s cool with me, because I’ve got the BEST song.
    Okay, so I was, like, 15, back in 2003 and this song was awesome back then. Check it out:
    I know what you’re thinking–well, I don’t actually have that power–but if I get a good look into your eyes, I could make you believe it’s your favorite song. You know?
    But anyway, you’re probably thinking, “Jeez, enough American Idol?” You’re getting overdosed on that right now with the start of a new season, but hey, the song fits me so I have to go with it. And Kelly Clarkson still rocks! That girl can sing.
    Hope you like. Remember, stay tuned this week . . . I might even share a little bit about my sweetheart, Jake, if Lynn let’s me. She keeps telling me I can’t say too much and give my story away. 🙂
  • Friday Funnies
    Have you guys seen this yet? It’s taken off like crazy.
    Now, I usually don’t watch the early rounds of American Idol because I just get too darned embarrassed for some of the people who try out.
    Anyway, this is what I missed on one of the episodes. . . Pants on the Ground.
    Remember Cyndi Lauper? I first remember her from the movie Goonies. Yeah, that sweet theme song…LOL. And Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. She was a unique bird back then, wasn’t she?
    Oh, but she can sing.
    Cindy Lauper 1980Remember the long red hair?
    The colorful eye make-up
    She had a unique way of dancing, didn’t she?
    on American Idol last week
    I saw she can still sting,
    and she looks great!
    Boy oh how she’s changed.
