    4-word interviewwhitebackground

    Hello, everyone.Emma Martinhere.Are you ready for another four-word interview? I’m having such a great time with these characters…well, and the authors, too.

    If you’re new to the blog, here’s how it works. I get to ask four questions, but they can only be four words long, and the kicker is…they answers have to be four words or less as well.

    Why four? Well…why not? That’s just how I roll.

    So…let’s get started!

    Today we’ve got Alison Kemper’scharacter, Cole Greer. And I’m kinda thinking I wouldn’t mind being stuck in the woods with him…**wink**

    ~~~
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….
    Cole Greer: Morning, North Carolina mountains.
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    CG: Camping in the woods.
    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .
    CG: Grilled squirrel! Just kiddin’!
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    CG: Save family from zombies!
    ***
    Okay, I’ll face Vampires any day than have to deal with aZombpocalypse!
    Thanks, Cole, for taking the time to interview between Zombie encounters. Let me know if you need any help, I’m sure my stake will work just fine on them…maybe.
    ***
    Dead Over Heels 1600x2400 (1)
    The end of the world just might be their perfect beginning…
    Glenview, North Carolina
    . Also known-at least to sixteen-year-old Ava Pegg-as the Land of Incredibly Boring Vacations. What exactly were her parents thinking when they bought a summer home here? Then the cute-but-really-annoying boy next door shows up at her place in a panic…hollering something about flesh-eating zombies attacking the town.
    At first, Ava’s certain that Cole spent a little too much time with his head in the moonshine barrel. But when someone-or something-rotted and terrifying emerges from behind the woodpile, Ava realizes this is no hooch hallucination. The undead are walking in Glenview, and they arehungry. Panicked, Ava and Cole flee into the national forest. No supplies, no weapons. Just two teenagers who don’t even like each other fighting for their lives. But that’s the funny thing about the Zombpocalypse. You never know when you’ll meet your undead end. Or when you’ll fall dead over heels for a boy…
    So check out Dead over Heels for Cole and Ava’s story. Sounds like a good one.
    Why four? Well…why not? That’s just how I roll.
    So…let’s get started!
    Today we’ve got Julie Particka’s character, Jenna Brandt, and she’s all kinds of awesome–for a human **wink**
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….
    Jenna Brandt: Right before falling asleep
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    JB: Christmas with my parents
    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .
    JB: Chocolate. Anything with chocolate
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    ~~~

    Okay, anyone who digs chocolatethat much–my new best friend!! I mean, what’s not to like?Come meet Jenna in Fall With Me.

    FallwithMe_1600

    Love is patient. Revenge is sweet.

    In the game of love…
    Dumped by her college boyfriend for her best friend, the last thing Jenna Brandt needs to deal with is working beside her backstabbing-BFF’s hotter-than-hot brother. But when he offers her a chance to get some revenge on her ex, she can hardly say no–even if spending more time with Sutton puts her heart in jeopardy all over again.

    Someone’s going to get hurt…

    Sutton Bell has had a thing for Jenna since they were in high school, but after one screwed-up night, she didn’t want anything to do with him. Now, with just the summer before he leaves to begin his new career, Sutton’s determined to convince Jenna he’s not the player he used to be. But saving his sister from making an awful mistake may mean losing Jenna for good.
    ~~~~
    ***Sounds great, doesn’t it?? Though…I like to exact my revenge with a particular dagger buried deep ina Vamp chest…***
    Julie leatherJulie Particka was told to get serious about her future in Junior High. Several years after getting a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, she realized being serious was over-rated and went back to her first love-writing. Now rather than spending her days in the drudgery of the lab or teaching science to high school students, she disappears into worlds of her own creation where monsters sometimes roam, but true love still conquers all.
    She can most often be located in the Detroit area with her favorite minions (the ones who know her as Mom) where she is currently hatching a plot for world domination. It involves cookies for everyone, so she’s pretty sure there’s no way it can fail…except the minions keep eating the cookies.
  • 4-word Interview Rachel Bailey
    4-word interviewwhitebackgroundHello, everyone. Emma Martin here. It’s been a while, but I’ve been bugging Lynn to let me do the four-word interview again. And after months of hounding here, BAM, we’re back!
    And we’ve got some fun authors and characters lined up for you in the coming weeks!
    Heck, I might even get Lynn or some of her characters in on the action. Oh wait, should I call her Reese now? **shakes head** I can’t keep all her pen names straight.
    But back to the interview. If you’re new to the blog, here’s how it works. I get to ask four questions, but they can only be four words long, and the kicker is…they answers have to be four words or less as well.
    Why four? Well…why not? That’s just how I roll. **wicked grin**
    So…let’s get started!
    ~~~~~

    Today we have Rachel Bailey’s character, Jake Maxwell, joining us for this quirky interview…

    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….

    Jake Maxwell: My early morning surf.

    ~~~
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    JM: Beach holidays with family.
    ~~~

    EM: A great Sunday night . . .

    JM: Friends, BBQ, beer, music.

    ~~~
    EM: Favorite item of clothing. . .
    JM: Old, worn-in blue jeans.
    ~~~~~

    Okay, so, after this little interview, especially the old, worn-in blue jeans answer, I had to check this guy out a little. And don’t forget, I’m kind of partial to the name as well….

    The book sounds awesome! Here’s the blurb:

    TSoJFalling in love wasn’t part of the plan…

    Life is just dandy for aspiring fashion designer Annalise Farley. She has a great job (or she will once her designs are discovered), parents who only slightly disapprove, a cat that thinks she’s a dog, and a best friend…even if she hasn’t seen her in a while.

    But then Jake Maxwell saunters back into her life. Jake, the love god. Jake, her best friend’s older brother. Jake, who broke her heart at sixteen without realizing it, then left to become a pro surfer. Now he’s back, having taken the surfing and business worlds by storm, and he’s ready for a new challenge-catching the eye of another girl. And he wants Annalise’s help.

    Helping Jake land his next girlfriend is too fraught with emotional danger for her liking, but then Jake offers to put her designs in his shops. Is that the sound of her life cracking at the seams? It’s hard to tell with Jake smiling at her like she’s the only thing that makes him happy…

    ~~~
    Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?
    Thanks, Rachel, for loaning Jake out for a quick interview. He did GREAT!
    Everyone, run over to Rachel’s website and check things out. I think you’ll be glad you did!
    Rachel3Rachel Bailey is a lover of books, chocolate, dogs, and ice cream.   • Four Word Interview–Of A Darker Nature
    I’ve got the amazing Emily Cross here today. Michelle Clay writes Emily’s story in Of a Darker Nature.
    EC: Ice Cream – yum!
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    ~~~~~

    Hey, Emily. Do you let people call you EM? I have a very SELECT few who can call me that. It’s kind of a special nickname reserved for those closest to me.

    Oh, and on the “normal” answer. I’m with you. Two years ago I turned…not so normal, and sometimes I kind of miss it.

    ~~~
    Emily Cross reads the memories of the deceased. Working at a funeral home might not be a logical choice, but for Emily, it’s a natural one. When she’s attacked, the creatures she thought were folklore become too real. As she’s being drained of life, the cadaver on the next table rises and fights them off. Feeling a connection to her hero, she vows to find him.
    Marcus Dane doesn’t know how he ended up in a mortuary. As an Enforcer for the Mistress of the City, he’s been following leads regarding a powerful witch who aims to exterminate his blood-clan.
    Emily is entangled romantically with a vampire, his angry Mistress who doesn’t like sharing her servants, and an incredibly powerful witch who realizes killing Emily is the gateway to what she wants. By the end, Emily must figure out who she can trust and who has the darkest nature of all.
