    Now…onto the movie.

    Synopsis from IMDB:

The Quileute’s close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses a threat to the Wolf Pack and the towns people of Forks

    My Review:

Oh wow. I really liked this. When the movie release was nearing, I started wondering where they’d cut it off…and I had an idea.

I guessed it. I won’t say where in case you haven’t seen it, but it was totally predictable–BUT TOTALLY good. They ended the movie RIGHT where they needed to. Got me all ready for the next one.

This first part was really just a set up to the second part as far as I was concerned. I really got the sense of their love story, which is cool with me (I mean, I am a romance writer, you know–LOL).

This one seemed to follow the book more in my opinion. I remember while reading the book how she jumped into Jake’s POV and I was like, wait, huh? And I could kinda tell that here in the movie, too.Smile

Compared to the other movies, the action scenes seemed better as well as the special effects. And, wow, how they did the birth scene and stuff. Right on. I’m so excited for the next part to come out to see how they wrap everything together compared to the books.

I’ll have to give Breaking Dawn Five Tickets:

Okay, that’s going to be good…..

How could it not, right? Chris and Charlize are in the movie. Sure, Charlize is sporting an accent (grrr…) but she’ll pull it off. I just know it. And not to mention the Twilight phenom, Kristen Stewart….I’m not convinced she’ll be awesome, but I can hope.

    Blurb from IMDB:

As a string of mysterious killings grips Seattle, Bella, whose high school graduation is fast approaching, is forced to choose between her love for vampire Edward and her friendship with werewolf Jacob

So, you had to know we’d review this one, right? It’s the latest craze. We quick saw it before I left for England so we could review it on CSO for ya!

    My Review:

Oh boy. This breaks my heart to say, but I was somewhat disappointed.

I’m sorry. Really. I am a total Twilight fan, you know that. But, what the heck was up with all the corny wigs? Really. Even Bella Swan. . . looked like her hair was a wig. And Victoria? Ugh, first they have a different actress playing the part, but the hair is just too far gone. . . The worst, though, was Jasper. Why can’t he just have normal hair? His scene was just…well…stiff.

    Total bummer.

I liked how they did the back story into the tribe and the wicked-awesome fighting scenes. Nice CG. Loved the wolves. Edward still looked constipated pretty much the entire movie which totally bummed me out. You know who I really liked, ALICE. Yep, she was wicked-awesome this one. Despite the wig….LOL.

Overall, I have to rate it pretty high still because the story was pretty true to the book and, well, I just really love Twilight. It’s kinda like the books, I was able to overlook the over writing (come on, the books were WAY longer than they needed to be) because I was so invested in the characters. To me, that’s the most important thing while reading.

    My rating:

4 tickets – See it and share it with a few friends

  • Meet-Cute

    HI. Mandy here.

Boy, Rachel’s post from yesterday got me thinking, you know? The whole dating thing. What attracts people to each other.

In my case, I usually repel guys. That tends to happen when you can potentially freeze their lips off if you kiss them.

Yep. I’m lucky to have a wicked-crazy power. Freezing things I touch. Oh, and not to mention, I can lift a car over my head.

You’d think that would leave me pretty muscular, right?

So NOT the case. I’m impressively wimpy looking, actually. So that doesn’t help with the trying to find a boyfriend thing.

Needless to say, I usually keep to myself. It doesn’t help much that I have these freaks from The Center trying to find me so they can dissect me to figure out why I can do what I can do.

    Enough about that.

I thought it’d be fun to talk MOVIES today.

It’s called the “meet-cute” when the situation/circumstances that the couple is thrown together that will span the movie.

Like, in Twilight. The first time Bella sees Edward. It’s in the lunch room. But their meeting was at the class, right? He totally freaks on her, doesn’t say a word, but still, they meet.

I like when they finally talk much better. His eyes are shimmering, and he’s asking her about the weather.

Oh, and not to mention when he stops the car from slamming into her.

    But enough from me.

What’s YOUR favorite meet-cute between some movie characters??

OH, and I have to ask, did you go see ECLIPSE? Did it rock? Haven’t seen it yet. I know, I’m lame.

  • Name that Movie

    Came you name these movies?

    1. Just relax and let your mind go blank. That shouldn’t be too hard for you.

    2. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

    3. You can’t really run with vampires. They’re very fast.

    4. Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn’t take Lorraine out that he’d melt my brain.
