• Rock Of Ages….

    Okay, who went to see it?

    I saw the adverts for it…

    Saw it had a few famous people in it…

    But…I just couldn’t do it. Just doesn’t look appealing, but then again, maybe that’s because there’s no angels, demons, or vampires in it, right?

    **LOL**

    Did you go see this? What’d you think? Is it on your “to-see” list?

    ~~~~
    I did get to a movie! I’ve been wanting to see Snow White and the Huntsman for a while. My sweet hubby caved to taking me to that movie instead of Prometheus. He’s such a sweet man!
    But oh…..what a disappointment. Charlize carried that movie, big time. She was amazing, but the rest….not so much. It dragged on and dragged on. I found myself leaning over and asking my hubby, “Is it close to being over yet?”
    Oh well. Can’t hit them all out of the park, right?
    What’d you guys do this weekend? See any movies? Read any good books?
    Now…onto the movie.
    Synopsis from IMDB
    The IMF is shut down when it’s implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization’s name.
    My Review
    Wow! I felt like I’d run a marathon after watching that movie. Then again, I LOVE ACTION. This nearly bordered on too much, but not quite. I have a HIGH level (from anyone who’s read my writing can attest…I love action!!!)
    Every turn there was something blowing up, or falling, or just….something happening. It was awesome.
    There were a couple of times I lost track of who was who and what was happening…in part because of the overwhelming action…but that’s okay. It wasn’t too bad at all.
    Loved this.
    So…as you might guess my rating is ….
    5 tickets - A must see. Buy a ticket for everyone.
    Have any of you guys seen it? What are your thoughts?
    Okay, head over to KM Wilsher‘s blog and see what she has to say. . .
    PS: Here’s the trailer if you want to check it out:
  • NAME THAT MOVIE
    Movie
    I was at the Kelly Mortimer Writing Conference in Murietta, CA last weekend.
    Well, during my time there, we had laughing fits talking about various movies and certain quotes from them.
    So, in honor of that exciting weekend, I had to pick some quotes from some of the movies, can you guess which ones they are…..
    1. “Don’t cry at the beginning of a date. Cry at the end, like I do.”
    2. “I only said it would be better if we weren’t friends, not that I didn’t want to be.”
    3. “Frankly, I’m not too wild about this next even but it has become a tradition here at Adams: The Belching Contest.”
    4. “I just like to smile! Smiling’s my favorite. ”
    Give it a guess in the comments. I’ll come back later today with the answers.
  • GUESS WHAT MOVIE
    movie-reelsMovie Lines. Can you guess what movie?
    Ok, I got tagged on FaceBook about movie quotes. And you all know how I love movies, trivia about movies, etc.
    So, I thought it’d be fun to try this here on the blogsphere, too.
    The original tag said to pick fifteen of your favorite movies then pick a quote from it and see if everyone can guess.
    Ok, fifteen is too much for me, so I picked five. So, guess away…I’ll come back later today and put the answers.
    Good luck, my friends.
    1. “Lights! Lights would be good here.”
    2. “Bye, Willie. Thanks.”
    3. “Tower, this is Ghost rider requesting fly by.”
    4. “As you wish.”
    5. “You can’t just walk out of a drive in.”
