THEN AND NOW THURSDAYS

Have you ever sat and reminisced about what was popular when you were a kid? Well…. “Then and Now” Thursdays is right up your alley.

McDonald’s holds many fond memories for me, believe it or not. My dad and I used to meet up there and have hotcakes quite often when I was in high school. To this day, I LOVE their hotcakes.

But, the restaurant sure has changed, hasn’t it….

McDonald’s Big Mac….remember that? Can you name all the ingredients?

Oh, but now…no longer do they just serve awesome hotcakes, tasty burgers, and cokes . . . . they have a McCafe . . . .can you believe it?

My favorite from McDs these days is the Double Cheeseburger. How ’bout you?

Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles onions on a sesame seed bun.

My cousin forced me to learn that when I was 10.

I guess there wasn’t much else to do in Oakdale. 🙂

Do you remember the Fry Guys? Grimace? (What was he anyway?) Mayor McCheese? The Hamburglar? And the bird? What was her name?

When I was in high school, I’d save my allowance for a cheeseburger (the smallest one), fries and a drink. It was only a coupla bucks, but seemed enormously expensive and oh-so-worth it.

I still scream through the Mickey-D drive-thru for a cheeseburger, small fries, and drink every couple of weeks. Why? Because I’m on the run, and I know it’s the only fast-food meal I can eat while I drive without spilling anything on me.
