Therapy #TheRunningWriter

I’ve been called insanely peppy before.

I’ve also heard, “Oh my gosh, you’re a morning person.” And not in a nice way. Envision the snark and annoyance in that phrase and you can also imagine the look that went with it.

Well yeah. I can claim both of those titles. Peppy and morning person.

But not every minute of the day. And recently there were long bouts of non-pep due to the death of my father-in-law. It was not a fun time. And I’m sure I will have some more not so peppy moments in my life.

But in general, yes, I’m quite positive and energetic. I think a lot of it comes from my trail therapy and friend therapy. Two things that really keep me on track.

If you follow my social media you know all about my trail therapy. I run. A lot. It helps me stay physically and emotionally healthy.

But even more so are my one-on-one times with my closest friends. Face to face time with my confidantes. Strong, wonderful women who keep me accountable, encourage me, cry with me, challenge me.

With them in my life I’m a better person. Better wife. Better boss.

Just plain healthier.

What’s your therapy?
