Shout it out!

***

I’m known around the office for a couple things. Mainly my shouting out, “Whoo-Hoo!”

Even have a few people shout it out when they see me.

I’m also known for my fist pump. If you follow my social media, you’ve seen a picture of me doing that recently in the Boston Marathon.

I did a few of those, along with a few Whoo-Hoos, on that soggy course.

Those are just two ways I keep myself motivated and positive.

During training runs, I’ve been heard from the hill tops. When I’m getting tired or feeling like I want to quit, a quick shout gets me back on track. Energizes me.

It’s not just out on the trails either. When I’m at work it keeps things interesting. Gets some fun energy going.

Work is what you make it, and I like fun, so I try and have a fun environment for my staff and volunteers, because we all work hard!

Working and playing hard is great. Have fun with it. Enjoy it. And throw in a few whoops to make it interesting. You’ll be surprised at the funny looks you get, but you’ll also get some smiles, giggles and even some hollering back.

And then you’ll notice a positive shift in the mood.
