This Writer’s Journey . . .
~~~
Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.
I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!
I first “met” Danica online. I can’t even remember how we connected, but I think it was through someone’s blog. She might have posted a comment, and I clicked her name. Everywhere I found her, her profile picture was a sunset….until recently, anyway. That’s why I had to include both pictures. *smile*
I’m so glad to know her. I hope to meet her in person in New York at the RWA national conference…we’ll see if I’m able to go this year. *fingers crossed*
What drew me to Danica was her fantastic sense of humor. I love people who love to laugh and enjoy life. You have to head over to her blog and start following it…she’s freaking hysterical. I look forward to her posts each day and the smile I know it will bring to my face.
She’s got some books coming out soon, too, and it has been fun watching that come to fruition, too. The road hasn’t been easy…but it’s finally happening for her!
Glad to know you, Danica!
Lynn, this is so weird. I met Danica in Oct. 2009. She posted a request for a critique partner and said she was from Louisiana. So am I, and I volunteered. I guess for about 4 or 5 months we critiqued each other’s stories. She was working on Piper’s story at the time.
I am so proud of her for following her dream. At Nationals, tell her that MM (Mary) says hi.
