This Writer's Journey

This Writer’s Journey

Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.

I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!

~~~
I met Christian Miles through a critique group that first year I started writing. What struck me about Christian was his dedication and commitment, not to mention his talent and positive attitude.
And this guy is still in high school.
Seriously.
He’s one of the most talented young people I’ve met on my journey as a writer. To have such discipline so early on-we can expect only great things from this guy.
In addition to everything I’ve mentioned about him thus far, he’s also very encouraging. He spends a lot of time helping other writers and encouraging them through the ups and downs of the whole journey.
He’s such an inspiration, and I’m glad our paths got to cross. Write on, Chris.
    Yes, I can attest to the dedicated commitment and positive attitude. And yes, Chris, you balance your sharply honed skills with a good deal of boyish spunk. LOL. All true. I’m sure you have much ahead of you in life, and many places to go, things to do, and people to meet. God has blessed you 🙂 Use your talents well!
    Thanks for featuring me on the blog, Lynn! I’ve said it before, but you and your stories as you progress on the writing journey are inspirational to me. The way you write, your positive outlook, your constant encouragement… you’re quite the friend! 🙂
    Again, thanks for this. It made me feel all warm inside (though that may just be the leftover spaghetti and Raisinets I just ate acting up). Now I’m going to steal your catch-phrase for a moment… ahem.
    WRITE ON, LYNN! 😀
    What a wonderful young man! You know, one of the greatest things about this whole writing world is the chance to get to know people whose path we wouldn’t normally cross. Terrific post, Lynn! 🙂
    I’m loving this series, Lynn.
    What I like about Chris is that he seems to have such a mature perspective, yet I detect that he is still a kid (I can say that b/c I’m old…er) . It’s a nice combination – Not growing up too fast, but having the depth of someone much more advanced. Kudos to Chris, and I second the motion – Write on!
    That’s wonderful! I’m always okay, a little envious, and amazed when I learn about young writers who do what it’s taken me so long to do. It’s inspiring.
    Finding a young man with that much dedication is astonishing. Well, I guess my eldest is in middle school, so even nudging him to change his socks is a chore. 🙂
