Throwback Thursday…Buffy Style

Throwing you back to the 90s.

Remember Buffy??

Now…I’ve always loved the paranormal stuff. Grew up watching The Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, things like that.

But there were a few shows that really triggered the love for the paranormal. One of them was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The TV show–>not the movie!

She was a kick-butt heroine–my total favorite thing in a heroine!

How ’bout you? What were some of your favorite shows that you remember growing up?

I never really got into it. My husband loved it and had to watch it every week. He called her Buff-a – pronounced like Buffet with a long a sound. LOL!

Since I’m only 15 I can’t really say what I liked while growing up since I’m not a grown up.
But I do love Buffy and Angel. I own every season of both shows.

I was a big Buffy fan, not so much about the Angel spinoff though. I really liked Buffy’s no-nonsense, get-it-done attitude. And of course her ability to KICK BUTT.

It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. I love when she calls her gang the Scooby Gang. It’s awesome. LOL!

Ok, well this is showing my age, but what the hell I have never been one to be afraid or ashamed of my age LOL ….. But I would have to say that the first shows I remember that had anything to do with paranormal. One was Bewitched, Then of course I can remember watching “Chiller” on the weekends, that would either have a “Dracula” movie with Bella L. or a werewolf movie with Boris, (ok I can not think of his last name LOL) But that was along time ago. LOL….. And Lynn is is hard to believe that you are old enough to have grown up on those shows you named. LOL…. As far as Buffy, well never got into her show, but I did love “Angel” when it came out. And my favorite was “Charmed” and I still love watching it.
Thanks for the throwback memories Lynn!!!

Ohhh, ANGEL was AWESOME! 🙂 But I have to admit, CHARMED is way up there, just behind Buffy! 🙂 A VERY close second! 🙂

Well my first love is vampires. I remember watching the remake of Dark Shadows. I loved that show. My other favorite that isnt paranormal was Dallas. My whole family would sit and watch it. We would have Ham sandwiches with potato chips on the side and chocolate milk. Me and my brothers thought that was a fun time. Now that I have 2 boys we eat the same thing, but instead of Dallas we watch Grimm.–Rachel

I couldn’t get into Buffy. I tried. I wanted to. I thought the idea was so cool. Couldn’t take it.

Funny thing…a *lot* of people who meet me say I look like Sarah Michelle Gellar. I don’t see it, but I’ve been told that many times. In fact, when I taught, some of my kids called me Buffy. HAHAHAHA!

Oh, that’s funny. I guess I’ll check that out when I see you at RT!!!!! Only about a month away, girl! Can’t wait to meet face to face!
